The Extron PowerCage 1600 rack-mountable modular card cage system for fiber optic and twisted pair extenders supports a broad range of video formats and rates. The PowerCage 1600 can be populated with any combination of transmitters and receivers, providing the ultimate flexibility for A/V systems that require long-haul A/V signal transmission. PowerCage FOX Fiber Optic Extenders and PowerCage MTP Twisted Pair Extenders are part of the larger, comprehensive FOX Series and MTP Series of fiber optic and twisted pair products. They can be used for simple point-to-point applications, or in combination with other products including switchers, distribution amplifiers, and matrix switchers, to tackle the most challenging A/V system designs with numerous inputs and outputs.

• PowerCage FOX Fiber Optic Extenders support standard definition or high resolution video, stereo audio, and RS-232 over a single fiber – 14 models available to extend high resolution RGB, DVI-D, multi-rate SDI, standard resolution component, S-video, or composite video extreme distances up to 30 km (18.75 miles).

• PowerCage FOX Fiber Optic Extenders deliver pixel-for-pixel image quality for high resolution video – All digital, zero compression technology ensures pixel-perfect images over extreme distances at the highest resolutions.

• PowerCage MTP Twisted Pair Extenders support standard definition or high resolution video, and audio or RS-232 over a single CAT 5-type cable – Four models available to extend high resolution RGBHV, RGBS, RGsB, RsGsBs, component video, S-video, and composite video long distances up to 1,500 feet (450 meters).
