Built for premium collaboration spaces requiring optimal performance and reliability, the DTP3 CrossPoint 42 4x2 Scaling Presentation Matrix Switchers support 4K/60 4:4:4 at all inputs, with both independently switched outputs driven by Extron-exclusive Vector 4K scaling technology. The USB-C input features device charging and 21.6 Gbps DisplayPort alt-mode video. The DTP3 output extends video, audio, and control up to 330 feet (100 meters).
The DTP3 CrossPoint 42 USB model adds comprehensive USB data capabilities including USB 3 local host and device hub connections. Additional USB functionality includes host switching and USB 2 data extension over the DTP3 output when connected to the compatible DTP3 R 331 receiver.
Both models feature DTP3 extension for uncompressed video, audio, and control up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a single CAT 6A cable. They are also backward compatible with first-generation DTP-enabled products. DTP endpoints are available in a wide variety of form factors and video formats to meet professional installation requirements. DTP3 incorporates advanced features such as 4K/60 @ 4:4:4, HDCP 2.3, and HDR video to let you create the sophisticated, yet simple to use systems that customers demand.

Vector 4K Scaling
Unparalleled Scaling Quality
The Vector™ 4K scaling engine incorporates Extron-engineered, multi-tap, bicubic interpolation, which creates a new pixel by averaging adjacent pixels above, below, to the sides, and diagonally of the new pixel. This produces sharp, accurate output, preserving single-pixel detail that other scaling methods lack.
Vector 4K algorithms continually and dynamically adapt, ensuring optimal processing for upscaling, downscaling, or 1:1 pass-through applications. Two less robust alternatives to bicubic interpolation are “nearest neighbor interpolation,” whereby a pixel is duplicated to an adjacent pixel, and “bilinear interpolation,” which creates a new pixel by averaging adjacent pixels above, below, and to the sides of the pixel being created. Both of these methods can produce substandard output, resulting in data loss that may render the content unusable.
DTP3 CrossPoint 42 USB enables highly functional, feature-rich videoconferencing installations with complete support for USB-C data, video, extension, and power delivery.
Extension – Add a DTP3 R 331 receiver to extend video, audio, USB, and control signals up to 330 feet (100 meters) over a CAT 6A cable to connect a 4K/60 display and additional USB 2 devices.
Power Delivery – The DTP3 CrossPoint 42 provides 60 watts, while the DTP3 CrossPoint 42 USB provides 100 watts.
USB 3 – Three USB hosts and two USB devices may be connected locally to support USB 10Gbps.
USB Host Switching – In-room USB devices such as a camera, mouse, keyboard, microphone, etc. can be switched between three host computers, including a host connected via USB-C.
4-Port Device Hub – Supports local connections for two USB 10Gbps and two USB 2 High-Speed devices.
