Overview

The Extron USBC ProMax Series of active, hybrid optical-copper USB‑C® cables simultaneously transmit video, audio, data, and power over long distances up to 30 feet (9.1 meters). This USB 20Gbps cable features dynamic DP Alt Mode lane switching for optimal 2-lane or 4-lane video and USB operation. It supports DisplayPort Alt Mode 8K video with USB 2 data rates, and 4K video with USB data rates up to 10 Gbps. Additionally, 100 watt USB Power Delivery capability enables powering of laptops and mobile devices. Descriptive text and a blue-colored ring on the host connector allow for easy identification of cable directionality, reducing the likelihood of improper connection. Multi-Stream Transport (MST) is supported, allowing multiple monitors to be operated simultaneously from a single USB‑C source output.
