Extron Introduces New IN1502 Video Scaler
Anaheim, California (1 February 2006) - Extron Electronics is pleased to announce the IN1502, a Two Input Video Scaler that provides high performance scaling of composite video and S-video signals. The IN1502 is equipped with a host of integrator friendly features, including input source autoswitching, comprehensive picture controls, a user friendly LCD menu display, and RS-232 control. This scaler is ideal for integrated systems in corporate, education, and medical environments where simple conversion of standard definition NTSC and PAL video to high resolution RGB video is desired. "The IN1502 is an economical, ideal choice for any application where standard video sources such as DVD players, VCRs, and document cameras are to be used with high resolution displays," says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. "In addition to Extron's core video processing to optimize video signals, we've also included a number of features that ease and expedite system integration." The IN1502 employs sophisticated video processing, including DMI™ - Dynamic Motion Interpolation and AFL™ - Accu-RATE Frame Lock, to create a single, optimally scaled output to match the native resolution of the display. A total of 14 selectable output rates are available from 640x480 to 1360x765 resolution. The IN1502 performs frame rate conversion and is equipped with a quad standard video decoder for worldwide video format compatibility. Convenient control of the IN1502 is available from the front panel, through RS-232 and contact closure, and using the optional remote control. The IN1502 is housed in a rack-mountable 1U, half rack width enclosure and is equipped with an internal power supply.- Public relations contact:
