Extron Introduces New VGA and Audio Line Driver For Ackermann Floor Boxes
Anaheim, California (28 September, 2004) - Extron is pleased to introduce the new Extender AKM MAAP, a one input, one buffered output VGA—QXGA line driver with audio. The Extender AKM MAAP is designed for installation in Ackermann floor boxes that accept GB2 or GB3 inserts and features space for mounting three single space Mini Architectural Adapter Plates (MAAPs). The Extender AKM MAAP offers a VGA with audio line driver and AV connectivity in a durable and discreet mounting solution. "This addition to our Extender Series further expands our wide range of options for floor box applications," says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. "Extron is committed to providing integrators with a wide range of choices for floor box AV connectivity." The Extron Extender line driver sends high resolution computer-video signals up to 75 meters (250 feet). Active audio buffering converts unbalanced audio to balanced audio. Signals are output on short pigtail BNC connectors for simple and versatile connections, so video, audio, and power connection cables can be fit into a small area.
