Nanyang Technological University in Singapore Transforms Teaching Spaces with Extron AV Solutions

Anaheim, California (November 3, 2025) - Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore recently completed a campus-wide AV upgrade, deploying Extron’s advanced switching, control, and audio solutions across 70 Tutorial Rooms and two large Collaboration Rooms. Designed to support flipped classrooms, team-based learning, and hybrid education, the installation delivers seamless content sharing, high-performance audio, and intuitive control interfaces. Each space is equipped to handle multiple input sources, wireless collaboration, and live streaming, helping NTU create more interactive, flexible, and student-centered learning environments across its colleges.
“Revolutionizing classroom support at our university! We've cut overall tickets by 15% using Extron's GVE system for proactive IoT monitoring," said Mr. Benjamin Lim Hock Leong, Divisional Head, NTU Shared Services IT. "We're solving problems before they even happen.”
The installation includes Extron’s ShareLink Pro for wireless content sharing, DTP and XTP matrix switchers for seamless routing, and GlobalViewer Enterprise software (GVE) for proactive system management. Recognizing the importance of hybrid learning, NTU Singapore also integrated Extron’s SMP 352 streaming media processor, enabling dual recording and live streaming. With a Kaltura LinkLicense, faculty can easily manage and share recorded lectures through NTU’s learning platform, while the MediaPort 200 HDMI and audio scaling bridge ensures seamless video conferencing integration for high-quality remote participation.
